Star Tracks
America's most wanted: The L.A. premiere of their romantic comedy America's Sweethearts brought together stars John Cusack (above), Billy Crystal (right), Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julia Roberts, who gave her onscreen sister a shoulder to sigh on. Meanwhile, Eddie Van Halen, who says he is winning his battle with tongue cancer, hugged his own sweetheart, wife (and new Touched by an Angel star) Valerie Bertinelli.
Far, far from her Blue Lagoon days, Brooke Shields strutted her stuff as saucy Sally Bowles in the Broadway revival of Cabaret. Her run ends Sept. 30.
Papa, just teach: As mom Madonna kicked off the U.S. leg of her tour, 4-year-old Lourdes underwent basic bicycle training (yes, she soon donned her helmet) with dad Carlos Leon in Manhattan's Central Park.
It wasn't a perfect match, but Matthew Perry (right) and Andre Agassi served up lots of laughs when they joined with Greg Kinnear in L.A. for A Night at the Net, a tennis benefit for MusiCares. As for why their team lost to Pete Sampras, Kelsey Grammer and David Spade, Agassi joked, "I blame it on my teammates."
While in Los Angeles with boyfriend Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears wore the pants—just barely—at a party for 'N Sync's new album Celebrity. Spears's own upcoming release is due out later this year.
Father's day in L.A.: Pierce Brosnan won't hold on to bachelorhood much longer (he will wed his longtime love Keely Shaye Smith on Aug. 4), but he'll always have Paris, the couple's 5-month-old son.
Tour de Lance: In L'Alpe d'Huez, France, Lance Armstrong's come-from-behind tactics paid off with a victory in the 10th stage of this year's Tour de France. Armstrong is gunning for a three-peat in the race, which ends on July 29.
