Watch for an upcoming Playboy spread featuring Dennis Quaid's girlfriend of eight months, Shanna Moakler. The model-actress and former Miss USA, who has been a frequent visitor to the actor's Montana ranch this summer, tells me her beau has no objections. "Dennis is supportive," she says. "He looks at it like, 'I'm not sure if it's going to help your career, but I don't think it's going to hurt your career.' " Certainly Moakler isn't worried. "If I'm looked at like a sex symbol," she says, "then I'm going to be the best sex symbol I can be."
Bruce Springsteen may be born to run, but his daughter seems born to ride. On Aug. 19, 9-year-old Jessica was crowned a Grand Champion at New Jersey's Monmouth County Horse Show in the short-stirrup division for kids 12 and under. Riding her Welsh pony Shamrock, Jessica beat nine other riders as her mom, Patti Scialfa, and dad cheered her on.
Dancer Cris Judd, who is engaged to Jennifer Lopez, was born with a club foot and, as a kid, wore special shoes to help him walk.
Now Judd's old corrective footwear can be seen at his parents' restaurant, Egg Rolls Are Us, in Niceville, Fla. "We decided to put them on display as an inspiration to kids that they can overcome adversity," says Judd's father, Larry. Judd and Lopez will wed this fall.
Lou Diamond Phillips gave the crew of his CBS series Wolf Lake quite a fright on Aug. 17. Filming in a misty Vancouver forest, the actor—who likes to do his own stunts—fell off his motorcycle and slid down a hill with the bike landing on top of him.
"Everything just stopped," one witness tells me. "It was scary." When crew members moved the bike, Phillips popped up with a smile, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

An insider at the taping of this season's second episode, which is set to air Sept. 27, tells me it's definitely not Jennifer Aniston's sexy former assistant Tag.
