Jennifer Lopez
I loved your cover story about Jennifer Lopez's wedding. It looks as though she found her soul-mate. Thanks for sharing her treasured moments with us.
Yvonne Sanchez, New York, N.Y.
Gee, cover stories about the self-absorbed, irrelevant and inconsequential. Does this mean we're back to normal?
Jim Pisula, Shorewood, Minn.
Let me get this straight: Jennifer Lopez got married on a private mountaintop estate wearing a Valentino Couture gown, arrived in a chauffeured Bentley and had the affair catered by Wolfgang Puck. And director Adam Shankman has the audacity to say, "It was not a Hollywood wedding." His ignorance of the not-Hollywood lives that most people lead is insulting.
Michelle Franklin, New York, N.Y.
Recently I've been impressed by the selfless acts of many entertainers but wondered, where was Jennifer Lopez? Now we hear she got married and jetted off to Italy. It shows how truly selfish she is.
Leza Temple, Chicago, Ill.
Carré Otis
The story of Carré Otis is inspiring. She broke out of the cage society puts women in and proved that she could be happy, healthy and successful without being thin. Otis is more than just a fashion model but a role model as well. Now if Hollywood could follow her lead.
Rebecca Hughes Parker, New York, N.Y.
Bravo, Carré! As a recovering anorectic, I still have problems with my self-esteem. It made me feel good to see a mature woman happy with her body. A woman is supposed to have curves, as Carré so obviously proves.
Sandi Shealy, Mauldin, S.C.
It is a very sad commentary on our culture when a 5'10" woman is considered full-figured at 155 lbs. and a size 12. Clue in the fashion world out there that the unrealistic Barbie-doll image is outdated, archaic and unhealthy.
Bobbi Martin, Laguna Niguel, Calif.
Sharon Stone
I cried when I read your article. I had the opportunity to meet Sharon Stone this past June. She received a Woman of Vision award from the Washington, D.C., chapter of Women in Film and Video for her work in film and her humanitarian efforts with organizations such as the American Foundation for AIDS Research. It's hard to believe that something like this could happen to someone this world needs so desperately. Sharon, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Magda Rock, Falling Waters, W.Va.
Nicholas Brendon
I applaud Nicholas Brendon for choosing to be spokesman for the Stuttering Foundation of America. He stands as a symbol to any young adult that success does not only depend on how well you communicate but also on how well you perceive yourself. As a speech and language pathologist, I will be sharing this article with my students in therapy.
Sue Klee, Tampa, Fla.
Ric O'Barry
Thanks for your profile on Ric O'Barry. It is very convincing when a person who has a history as a noted trainer of dolphins changes his thinking based on real-life experience. Dolphins, like any other animal, including us, are not happy in captivity. Why is it so hard for people to understand this?
Wendy Lochner, Sayville, N.Y.
Band of Brothers
Thank you for doing the Band of Brothers article. These men are the ones that made it possible for the Hollywood crowd to work in a capitalist society and country. Wake up, America, Hollywood is just entertainment but not worth the time to go crazy about.
Kevin Dier-Zimmel, Beaver Dam, Wis.

G. Benson from Phoenix, Ariz., needs a serious reality check. "Please, can we move on?" was possibly the most insensitive and selfish statement I have ever read. The world as we knew it has changed forever. We can go back to work, try to continue with our lives, but this act will never be forgotten.
Lyda Teer Mihalyi, Chapel Hill, N.C.
I don't know which is more sickening—the fact that in the blink of an eye terrorists take the lives of thousands or that nearly one mere month after this heinous tragedy G. Benson is begging America to move on. From me and my millions of united American brothers, here's a tip to G. Benson: Move out!
Patrick Lytle, Chicago, Ill.
Amen. Like G. Benson, I, too, was feeling depressed and saturated by the news and was looking forward to a little escapism. I'm glad you're back to your usual format.
Fran Miranda, Las Vegas, Nev.
