The Mummy's Brendan Fraser, 33, will soon be a daddy. He and his wife, former actress Afton Smith (Reality Bites), 35, are expecting their first child in October.
Brooke Burke, 30, host of E!'s Wild On, and her husband, plastic surgeon Garth Fisher, 44, welcomed their second child, daughter Sierra Sky, on April 2 in L.A. Big sister Neriah is 2.
...Husband-and-wife actors William H. Macy, 51, and Felicity Huffman, 39, had their second child, Georgia Grace, on March 14 in L.A. Their daughter Sophia is 1.
On March 29 actor Michael Nader, 57, who played Count Dimitri Marick on ABC's All My Children for 10 years, filed a $32 million lawsuit accusing the network of breach of contract. Nader alleges that ABC fired him but kept him from working elsewhere after he was arrested for cocaine possession and underwent rehab in February 2001. ABC had no comment.
On April 5 a London jury acquitted R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, 45, on charges that he went on a drunken rampage during a transatlantic flight last April. Prosecutors had said that after consuming 15 glasses of red wine, Buck overturned a breakfast cart and assaulted two crew members. The jury accepted the musician's defense that he took a sleeping pill with wine, blacked out and couldn't remember his actions.
...On April 4 in Paris, France's highest court upheld the dismissal of manslaughter charges against nine photographers and a press motorcyclist in the August 1997 car crash that killed Princess Diana, her boyfriend Dodi Fayed and their driver Henri Paul.
Former MTV personality and actress Tawny Kitaen (Bachelor Party), 40, was charged with spousal abuse and battery on April 3 in Laguna Miguel, Calif., a day after she allegedly kicked her husband, Cleveland Indians pitcher Chuck Finley, 39, several times while he was driving. The actress, who is due in court on April 29, could face up to a year in jail and a $6,000 fine.

In a wrongful-death suit filed on April 2 in L.A., Maria St. John alleges that shock rocker Marilyn Manson, 33, was negligent in allowing her daughter to drive under the influence of drugs. Jennifer Syme, 29, died last April in a car crash after leaving a gathering at the musician's L.A. home. Syme had broken up with actor Keanu Reeves, 37, a year earlier. In a statement Manson called the suit "baseless," adding that he had sent Syme home safely with a designated driver and that "she later got behind the wheel of her own car for reasons known only to her."
On April 4 in Manhattan, shoe designer Steve Madden, 45, was sentenced to 41 months in prison after pleading guilty last year to securities fraud and money laundering (PEOPLE, July 10, 2000)....
Former Olympic gymnast Olga Korbut, 46, avoided facing prosecution on charges that she shoplifted $19 worth of groceries in January (People, Feb. 18, 2002), according to court documents filed on April 9 in Gwinnett County, Ga. Instead Korbut paid $330 in fees, completed a class in values and agreed to stay away from Publix grocery stores.
