Calista Flockhart and Angelina Jolie Show Their Well-Togged Tots the Town (Love the Mohawk, Maddox!)

She calls him Madness. He'll call her Mama—unless he comes up with something more creative. After all, 11-month-old Maddox is the newest member of the convention-shunning Angelina Jolie-Billy Bob Thornton household. Adopted in March from an orphanage in Cambodia, Maddox (natty in Burberry-plaid bottoms, right) arrived home in L.A. with Jolie, 27, three weeks ago after a stay in Africa, where she was shooting the drama Beyond Borders. Meanwhile, a potential playmate—18-month-old Liam, adopted last year by Calista Flockhart, 37—stepped out with his mom, who's enjoying a quieter docket. When Flockhart got the news that Ally McBeal would end its run in May, "she said, 'Liam will love this,' " says a friend. " 'I'll be at home spending all my time with him.' "

Flockhart (sans her steady, Harrison Ford) and her young Yankee fan went for a stroll in Brentwood (above) and shopped for groceries in Santa Monica. Flockhart savors having time with her son without "the specter of a long workday hovering over her head," says a friend.

ANGELINA JOLIE AND MADDOX
Jolie and Thornton, who just wound up a concert tour, are taking the summer off for time together with Maddox (with his mom near their Beverly Hills house). "I'm looking forward to having a little one around," says Thornton, 47. Mom and Dad—who has proudly noted that his son's "hair stands straight up, like he was born a punk rocker"—are setting up a foundation to build schools in Cambodia. "We're planning to give Maddox a life there too," Thornton says. "He'll know both places as home."
