Good Will punting? In Gloucestershire, Prince William showcased his talent for multitasking by playing a soccer game with pals while taking a call on his cell phone. Will, who turned 20 on June 21, got an even bigger kick out of the conversation, which brought the goal-oriented royal to his knees (inset).
Wonder boy: Although he's only a tot of 22 months, DNA-blessed Dylan Douglas displayed his basic instinct—waving to fans—while his famous mom, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and pop, Michael Douglas, admired his technique at a park in L.A.
Who's that curl? Why, it's Woody Harrelson, who got all tressed up on the Manhattan set of Anger Management. Woody plays a transvestite in the upcoming comedy, which costars Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson.
For his latest feat, illusionist David Blaine—who recently perched atop a 50-ft. pillar for 48 hours in Manhattan—traded magic for chemistry with new girlfriend Daryl Hannah in Paris.
What's up, Doc? After receiving a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Chapman University, Arnold Schwarzenegger paused for an impromptu tutorial with a young fan in Orange, Calif. "Work hard, stay focused, and marry a Kennedy," he told the crowd.
Smooch operators: In Santa Monica, ER alums Julianna Margulies and Ron Eldard brushed up on mouth-to-mouth skills. The couple, who met in 1991, will costar in Ghostship, a thriller due next fall.
"Every cent of my first paychecks went to flying lessons," said John Travolta, who, with a little ground support from his wife, Kelly Preston, and daughter Ella, 2, received his flight wings in Los Angeles as an ambassador-at-large for Australia's Qantas airlines. On July 1 the aviating actor and his family take off for a two-month, around-the-world 13-city trip aboard a refurbished Boeing 707 that Travolta purchased from the airline and will pilot himself.
Blind justice: On the L.A. set of Daredevil, Ben Affleck tussled with costar Jennifer Garner. He plays a crime-fighting attorney whose vision was destroyed by radioactive waste (he battles evildoers using his heightened senses). She plays his nemesis, Elektra. The latest comic book-turned-celluloid superhero tale hits theaters in January 2003.
Odder in the court: Shock rocker Marilyn Manson (right) toned down his gender-bending garb for his June 19 appearance at a Clarkston, Mich., courthouse, where he pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and assault and battery. Manson, who was charged with sexually assaulting a security guard at a concert last July, will pay a $4,000 fine.
A beaming Angela Bassett brought the light of her life—actor hubby, Courtney B. Vance, recently hobbled by a torn Achilles tendon—to the L.A. premiere of her new drama Sunshine State. In the film Bassett plays a failed actress trying to reconnect with her mother.
