Kiss me, Kate: While in Toronto filming How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Kate Hudson gave a good-luck smooch to her husband, the Black Crowes' frontman Chris Robinson, before he hit the road for his solo tour, which began on Aug. 15.
With no sign of their romance cooling, former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton and boyfriend Ian Klaus, a fellow Oxford student, beat the heat with an ice cream break while they vacationed with her parents on Martha's Vineyard. Clinton begins her final year of graduate studies this fall.
Hot wheels: Leonardo DiCaprio tooled around L.A. with his pals in an ecofriendly Ford Think Neighbor electric car. Traveling at a maximum of 25 mph, though, the vehicle, which retails for $7,495, can barely outpace his rabid fans.
A good Hair day: Stars of stage and small screen stepped out for the opening of Hairspray, the Broadway adaptation of the 1988 cult flick, in New York City. "I love a new musical," said a well-gelled Rosie O'Donnell (top left), sporting her new short do. Also making the scene were 'N Syncer Joey Fatone (above, left), who joined the Broadway cast of Rent in August, and Deborah Gibson, starring this October in a Boston production of Chicago. Meanwhile, Great White Way veteran Matthew Broderick (left) and wife Sarah Jessica Parker checked out the show as they prepare for their next big premiere—a baby due this fall. "For once he gets to be in the audience," said Parker of her hubby's job in the delivery room. "That's his role."
Good will: In L.A., Will & Grace's Eric McCormack and wife Janet Holden were honored for their work with Project Angel Food, which delivers meals to people with HIV, as other stars looked on (that's ER's Maura Tierney to McCormack's left).
Vroom with a view: Native New Yorker Jennifer Lopez took in the sights during a drive through Manhattan, where she recently finished filming The Chambermaid, a romantic comedy costarring Ralph Fiennes that's due in theaters Dec. 13.
In New York City, Matthew Perry had an especially sweet 33rd birthday on Aug. 19 when he was serenaded by ex-American Idol contender RJ Helton during the Friends star's appearance on MTV's TRL
Ah, the fragrant smell of success: Matt Damon, was greeted by adoring fans in Taoyuan, Taiwan, as he arrived to promote his spy thriller The Bourne Identity.
Cameron Diaz, on break from filming Charlie's Angels 2 in L.A., bagged a little quality time in Manhattan with her beau, actor-turned-rocker Jared Leto, who was in town to perform with his band 30 Seconds to Mars.
