Igby Goes Down Kieran Culkin is superb as a troubled teen on the loose in Manhattan in a smart, cranky comedy. (R)

Invincible A psychic (Tim Roth) hires a Jewish strongman to perform at his nightclub in Nazi Berlin. Good story, based on fact, but director Werner Herzog's film is crushed by a casting error: The big guy is played by Jouko Ahola, Finnish two-time winner of the World's Strongest Man title. Man, maybe. Actor, no no no. (PG-13)

Secretary A secretary (Maggie Gyllenhaal) and her attorney boss (James Spader) do more than just play office in a spanking new comedy about sadomasochism. Well-acted but drags on too long. (R)
