Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan, 63, suffered a slipped disc while moving furniture at his Sydney home on Dec. 9. Doctors say Hogan, who was treated and released from a local hospital, should be back on his feet in several weeks....
Drummer Stewart Copeland, 50, broke his left arm after falling off a bicycle near his L.A. home on Nov. 22. Copeland, the former drummer for the Police, is still scheduled to tour with two of the remaining members of the Doors beginning in Las Vegas on Jan. 19.

Actor Tom Sizemore (Robbery Homicide Division), 38, was arrested in L.A. on Dec. 7 and charged with misdemeanor battery after a woman, whose name was not released, told police that the actor punched her and threw her down. The woman alleges that she and Sizemore were dating, but Sizemore's rep said the woman is not his girlfriend and called the incident "attempted extortion."

U.S. Forest Service technician Terry Lynn Barton, 38, who admitted to accidentally setting the worst forest fire in Colorado history last summer by burning a letter from her estranged husband (PEOPLE, July 1, 2002), pleaded guilty to arson on Dec. 6 in Denver. As part of a plea agreement with federal prosecutors, Barton will serve six years in prison. She still faces additional state charges.

Pioneering TV executive Roone Arledge, 71, who revolutionized broadcast news and sports during a 40-year career at ABC, died of complications from cancer on Dec. 5 in Manhattan. Arledge, the creator of Monday Night Football, introduced such innovations as instant replay and slow motion to sports broadcasts. The 36-time Emmy winner also created such news programs as Nightline and 20/20 and made celebrities of news broadcasters like Peter Jennings and Barbara Walters....
Actor Glenn Quinn, 32, best known for playing Becky's husband, Mark, on Roseanne, was found dead of a suspected drug overdose at the home of a friend in North Hollywood on Dec. 3. The actor, who also costarred in Angel during the 1999-2000 season, appeared in several movies including 199l's Shout. An investigation into the exact cause of death is still pending.
