8:30 a.m. At a magazine photo shoot Hugh Grant asks for a hand massage that, he says, "cures my hangover."
9:00 a.m. Bonnie Hunt's stylist vacuums her house wearing $40,000 Harry Winston diamond earrings before delivering them to Hunt. "Her husband was saying, 'You've lost your mind!' " says Hunt.
9:30 a.m. Rita Wilson gets up. "Husband lets the wife sleep in," says Mrs. Tom Hanks.
10:30 a.m. Calista Flockhart takes her son Liam, 2, to the park to look at ducks—"a very relaxing morning."
11 a.m. Debra Messing's stylist, hairdresser and makeup artist join her for a bagel breakfast before getting to work.
11:34 a.m. Sarah Jessica Parker stockpiles some freebies at HBO's Peninsula suite—including Leslie Greene diamond bracelets, a $650 Maurice Lacroix watch and a bushelful of beauty products. "I love all of this stuff!" Parker exclaims. "I'll wear it on the show!"
12:00 p.m. Salma Hayek gets a surprise visit from her masseuse-chiropractor. "She said, 'Girl, I'm going to fix you up,' " says Hayek.
1:00 p.m. Arnold Schwarzenegger lazes "in the sun by our wonderful swimming pool" and reads until his limo arrives.
1:30 p.m. The Hours, Chicago and Gangs of New York costar John C. Reilly fixes a leaky kitchen sink while his wife gets dressed.
1:45 p.m. The Pianist star Adrien Brody changes into his Zegna tux at the house of Sharon Stone, who invited him over because she was impressed with his performance. "We had soul food for lunch," he says. "It was lovely." She lends him cufflinks.
2:00 p.m. The straps on Kim Cattrall's Christian Louboutin shoes are too long. Her stylist uses a steak knife to punch another hole.
2:15 p.m. Michael Chiklis shaves his head. "I didn't want any five o'clock stubblehead," he says with a laugh.
3:00 p.m. Husband Eric Benet first sees Halle Berry in her dress. His reaction: "Wow, wow, wow, wow! We gotta go now, baby!"
4:00 p.m. Walking the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton with sister Antonia, Nicole Kidman repeatedly stops to sign autographs.
4:48 p.m. At 12 minutes to showtime, "I have to go to the loo," Kidman wails. "If I don't go now, I'll be stuck."
5:11 p.m. Meryl Streep wins the first award and hits the ladies' room. "I cried all my makeup off," she says.
7:10 p.m. In the Hilton press room, laryngitis-stricken winner Edie Falco accepts a zinc throat lozenge from a journalist.
9:15 p.m. The electricity briefly fails at the IN STYLE party at the Beverly Hilton's Palm Court. "We were all in the dark," says Allison Janney. "Somebody felt my [butt]. I don't know who."
9:33 p.m. At the Paramount party at the Hilton's Stardust Room, Harrison Ford signs autographs while Calista Flockhart chows down on shrimp. "He's always so accommodating," she says, "but I'm too hungry."
10:10 p.m. Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal arrive at the Paramount party, find there's no VIP area and leave.
12:15 a.m. Matthew Perry, who announced earlier that "I have to get out quickly, because I have to be at work at 6 a.m.," is one of the last to leave the IN STYLE bash. Chatting up Neve Campbell, Mira Sorvino and Ashley Williams kept him busy.
1:00 a.m. Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Nicole Kidman are among celebs still partying the night away at Creative Artists Agency's after-afterparty at Chaya Brasserie.
