Action star Arnold Schwarzenegger, 55, left a Santa Monica hospital on Jan. 30, one day after undergoing surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder. Legal Issues
On Feb. 4 a Manhattan jury awarded Charles Bell, 48, a former manager at New York City's Park Lane Hotel, $11.2 million after deciding that he was fired by the hotel's owner, Leona Helmsley, in part because he was gay. Helmsley, 82, had contended that Bell was dismissed because he lied about his education and background. Helmsley said she was "shocked" by the verdict, and her lawyer said he would move to have the verdict set aside.
