"It was sex at first sight," jokes Mark Wahlberg about meeting his girlfriend, model Rhea Durham, now seven months pregnant with the couple's first child. "I mean, we didn't have it, but I wanted to." The actor was also drawn to Durham's low-key nature. "I went out with people who would be upset if we didn't go out to a premiere to be photographed," says Wahlberg, 32, who stars in the crime thriller The Italian Job. "Rhea is what I was looking for. She has really strong morals and high standards, and I like that." So is he planning to spoil his baby daughter? Says the actor: "Of course I will! I spoil my dogs."
A Will of Her Own
As Jada Pinkett Smith can attest, living with Will Smith is never boring. Which is why the married stars are developing All of Us, a UPN sitcom loosely based on their life together. The actress is contemplating which real-life events would translate into comic TV situations. For instance, she recalls a tiff the couple had recently. "Will told me we had to pick up Trey [his son from his first marriage] on the Universal lot from his mom, Sheree Zampino," says Smith, 31, now costarring in The Matrix Reloaded. "I was cussing Will out and saying, 'Why do we have to meet her all the way in the city? Why can't she meet us?' " The actress groused until they pulled into the studio. "Turns out, it was a surprise birthday party for me," says a sheepish Jada. "Will just smiled, because he's so used to me giving him heat about something."
Spy Game
News flash: Shannon Elizabeth is the new Bond girl! Okay, so it's for a video game. The American Pie star will play Serena St. Germaine in the simulation James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing. "I go in for a body scan in the next two weeks. I'm pretty sure it won't hurt," says Elizabeth, 29. "My advice to them is 'Don't make me look fat.' " The actress and her husband, actor Joe Reitman, are big gamers, so her new role could prove better than couples therapy. "Joe is really excited," says Elizabeth, "because he's going to get to control me for once in his life."
Mr. Clean
Nick Lachey, who wed pop princess Jessica Simpson last October, knows the secret to a happy marriage. "We have his and hers toilets in our bathroom," says the 98° singer, whose debut solo album, Soulo, comes out in August. "It's my saving grace, because I'm sure I would leave the seat up, and in the middle of the night she'd fall in and I'd get in trouble." Turns out the pop star is exceptionally well trained. "Our roles are reversed: She never puts on a new roll of toilet paper, she never makes the bed, she never picks up her clothes off the floor or puts away her shoes," says Lachey, 29. "I'm the woman in our relationship."
