Let's see. Madonna, 37, isn't shy, and surely—though not married to boyfriend Carlos Leon, 29—she isn't embarrassed. So there is only one explanation: She has nothing to wear. To help resolve this crisis, four designers, at the behest of PEOPLE, have come to her aid. "Show that baby!" advises Betsey Johnson, whose velvet minidresses and midriff-baring halters would do just that. Cynthia Rowley agrees: "She's still going to have an amazing body. She should have fun with it, show it off." Only to a point, demur Italy's Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who think Madonna should, for now, "put aside close-fitting garments." Still, to ease the transition, they built ensembles for their longtime customer around an item she would feel at home in: a black lace bra. Just because she's pregnant, says Dolce, "Madonna shouldn't betray her personality."
