Jonathan Schmitz, 26,who shot and killed Scott Amedure, 32, in March 1995, three days after Amedure surprised Schmitz by revealing his crush on him during a taping of The Jenny Jones Show, was sentenced on Dec. 4 to 25 to 50 years in prison. A Pontiac, Mich., judge gave Schmitz two additional years for using a firearm to commit a felony. Schmitz will be eligible for parole in about 20 years.
