He was invited to join the picture. Richardson and husband Frank Boyle even got a bonus: Clinton golf partner, Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien.

2 The same thing (minus Chretien) happened to Meg Whitty at her Aug. 5, 1995, wedding to Jim Molloy at the Avenel club in Bethesda.

3 Joelle Davis and Bob Herman wed at the Army & Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va., on Aug. 12, 1995. The President was playing golf that day.

4 Kellie Carey and Jim Hurson had their close Clinton encounter at the Congressional club on May 27, 1995.

5 Karen Donatelli and her husband, Christopher, are both Republicans. Who cares? Clinton schmoozed with them and the bride's father, Michael Kappaz, in July 29, 1995, also at the Congressional club. "He said to my dad, 'I wouldn't want to be in your shoes with this big bill,' " says Karen.

6 Drs. Susan Schraufek and Erik Westerlund's wedding last April 13 at the Sequoia restaurant in Georgetown was graced by a visit from the President and First Daughter Chelsea. Schraufek was mildly disappointed that Clinton didn't have his sax to play with the band.
