TOM AND KATIE
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are beautiful and deserve the best. I'd love to see the smiles when this couple says, "I do."
Sharron B. Glasgow
Lynn Haven, Fla.
Wishing Tom and Katie all the best on their impending marriage. Age and the amount of time you date someone have absolutely nothing to do with true love!
Michelle Blackburn
Fresno, Calif.
It's exciting Tom has found his true love and proposed to her so romantically at the top of the Eiffel Tower. But I wonder if this Hollywood relationship will stand the test of time?
Sandra Yoffee
Sarasota, Fla.
This debacle just seems like a publicity stunt. Katie's parents should tell her to become the next Runaway Bride.
Trina G. Lee
Bloomington, III.
When Tom gets to the bottom of the hole he's in, he'll stop digging. Tom should stick to acting rather than dispensing advice on postpartum depression and other mental conditions.
Nethea Rhinehardt
Atlanta, Ga.
Exercise and vitamins don't cure emotional disorders, and sadly for Tom, they don't cure arrogance and stupidity either.
Susan Cole
Vancouver, Wash.
OPRAH
Who does Oprah think she is, expecting the Hermes store to reopen their doors just for her? And why does everything have to be about race?
Karen Crisp
Elwood, III.
I'm surprised Oprah can get into any store. Her head is so swelled with self-importance.
Patti Stone
Corona del Mar, Calif.
WEIGHT-LOSS CAMP
Writer Abby Ellin dishes Camp Colang with abandon in your June 27 article "Fat Camp Confidential." It doesn't mean all weight-loss camps thrive on shame and humiliation as she suggests. Camp Shane is home to nearly 1,000 children from the U.S. and the world. Not only do we help kids lose pounds, we help them gain self-esteem and have a blast while doing it.
David Ettenberg, director, Camp Shane
Ferndale, N.Y.
I appreciated your article "Back in the Race" about Jennifer Aniston. She's a really sweet, smart, classy and beautiful person and should be happy to be rid of Brad Pitt. He's the one who will look the fool. Just give him a chance.
SHERRY WINTER
Yonkers, NY
Your feature about how Jennifer is doing is so her. She's self-absorbed and it's all about me, me, me. Jennifer doesn't have Brad or any beautiful children. And Brad should thank his lucky stars he's away from her, her, her.
