Getting Cozy in Canada, the Couple Rev Things Up on Weekend Motorcycle Ride—to the Supermarket

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have officially moved past the getting-to-know-you phase to the what's-for-dinner phase. After wrapping her latest movie role, Jolie and her kids joined Pitt in Edmonton, Alta., where he's filming The Assassination of Jesse James. On Sept. 25 the couple rode their motorcycles to a nearby Safeway supermarket. First, a brief debate: "He asked [Jolie] if she wanted turkey. She said he could get it if he wanted, but she didn't feel like it. She wasn't in the mood," says a deli employee. Eventually the pair (sans turkey) headed to the register, where Pitt came up 14 cents short. "Another lady in line gave him a loonie [a Canadian dollar coin]," says one amused customer.
