It was great to see all the new babies featured in your Baby Love! cover story. And a big thanks to your magazine for openly discussing breast-feeding. You noted that Heidi Klum was "still breastfeeding" her 4-month-old girl—I still breast-feed my 9-month-old son and hear that comment often. Hopefully, one day our society will realize it's the healthiest way to feed our babies. Nothing in my life has given me more of a sense of accomplishment than nourishing my child myself.

It's sad that Denise Richards chose to stop breast-feeding after a mere six weeks because it was "exhausting." Doesn't she realize she's depriving her daughter of many of the benefits of breast-feeding? As a breast-feeding mother, I can say I'd rather be exhausted than put my child at risk.
I was very glad to see your disclaimer about celebs' domestic help and appreciate the honest comments from Kate Hudson and Jill Hennessy about motherhood being the hardest job there is. Too often celebrities paint such an unrealistic picture of motherhood.
These ladies don't realize how good they have it: nannies, high-quality baby gear and the latest fashions. I'm a stay-at-home mom of an 11-year-old boy and 6-month-old daughter. I'd love to be back in my size-10 jeans, but who has time to go to the gym and grocery store without a child in tow?
Your article made reference to how one of the moms is slender enough to get into a pair of Seven jeans. I understand these moms have a certain image to project on-and offscreen, but the focus should be on coming through the pregnancy, having a healthy baby and being the best parent to that child.
I can see why Gwyneth Paltrow named her daughter Apple. She carries the child as if she were a bag of apples! Please, someone show this new mother how to properly hold and carry her beautiful baby.
BEAT AROUND THE BUSH
Congratulations on your well-written and unbiased article on President Bush and his family. The reporting and editing done was not unkind or mean-spirited. This article's objectivity and humanness leaves me with the desire to read your magazine again.
"Home on the Ranch" proved to be a choppy montage of blurbs and misdialogues, the most telling of which was a comment from 22-year-old college grad Jenna when President Bush was questioned about the type of men his daughters dated. After summoning Blake Gottesman, a former boyfriend and current aide to the President into the room, Jenna said, "I was 14 when I dated Blake. We've been broken up for 12 years!" The fuzzy-math nut doesn't fall far from that tree.
"We stay together because we love each other," was a sentence from your article, "Honey, I'm Gay." I was impressed by the commitment to marriage of Jim and Anna Marie Will. But when I read she condoned his having flings, which are okay because they mean so little, how is that family, commitment or love?
Thanks for your lovely tribute to Laura Branigan. I met her in New York City in the late '80s while I was a shop assistant. I never met someone who was so honest. She was a truly beautiful young lady who valued the most important things in life—family and friends.
Rev. Tom Clowe
Mama mia! I actually got a little choked up when I saw your cover. It's great to see these bigger-than-life stars learning what motherhood is all about. It's obvious they're real people just like you and me.
