Rising dramatically among Rockefeller Center's skyscrapers, artist Jonathan Borofsky's Walking to the Sky—seven life-size figures ascending a 100-ft. steel pole—strikes some as a tribute to 9/11. But the sculpture, on view until Oct. 18, is about even more, says Borofsky, 61: "I think of it as all humanity rising up, striving into the future."
