Colin Guinn, 24, and Christie Woods, 26, contestants on the CBS reality show The Amazing Race 5, became engaged on-air Sept. 22, the day after they finished second in the series finale. The couple, who live in Corpus Christi, Texas, have been dating for more than a year.
In front of 350 guests, rapper Juvenile (born Terius Gray), 29, wed Shadonna Jones, a nurse, in Metairie, La., Sept. 4.... On Sept. 25 in Toronto, Keech Rainwater, 41, the drummer for country band Lonestar, married Elissa Lansdell, cohost of a talk show on Canada's Country Music Television.
Courtroom artists Andrea Shepard, 48, and Shirley Shepard, 76, recently sued former TV talk show host Rosie O'Donnell, 42, for copyright infringement for allegedly trying to sell photos of their sketches as though they were O'Donnell's own work. The drawings were rendered last year by the mother-daughter team during O'Donnell's breach-of-contract law suit against the publisher of her now defunct magazine Rosie. The Shepards are seeking $1 million in damages. A rep for O'Donnell says the suit is without merit.... A paternity suit was filed against DMX, 33, Sept. 21 in New York City by a Mary land woman who claims that the rapper is the father of her infant son. Monique Wayne, 23, said DMX has admitted fathering the child. DMX (born Earl Simmons) was in court on unrelated drug and weapons charges when he was handed the lawsuit. His rep had no comment.
Singer Frankie Valli, 70, filed for divorce from his wife of 20 years, Randy, 54, Sept. 24 in L.A. The couple have three sons. Valli was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 as a member of the Four Seasons.
On Sept. 23 former Growing Pains star Tracey Gold, 35, was formally charged with three felony counts, including drunk driving and child endangerment, stemming from a Sept. 3 accident near L.A. (PEOPLE, Sept. 27). Gold's husband, Roby Marshall, 39, suffered a cervical neck fracture and two of the couple's three children also received minor injuries.... Record producer Phil Spector, 64, was charged with murder in an indictment unsealed Sept. 27 in L.A. B-movie actress Lana Clarkson. 40, was found shot to death at Spector's Alhambra mansion last year (PEOPLE, Feb. 17,2003). Spector, who claimed Clarkson shot herself, remains free on $1 million bail.
Billionaire Marvin Davis, 79, who made his fortune in the oil and entertainment industries, died of natural causes at his Beverly Hills home Sept. 25.
