CHANGE OF PLANS
Richard Dreyfuss withdrew from his leading role in the London production of The Producers Oct. 19, just days before previews of the musical were slated to start. The 57-year-old actor has been suffering from a recurring shoulder injury since surgery for a herniated disc earlier this year. Dreyfuss will be replaced by Nathan Lane, 48, who in 2001 originated the role of Max Bialystock in the Broadway hit.

Oct. 13 in L.A., R&B singer Ronald Isley, 63, was indicted on five counts of tax evasion stemming from 1997 to 2002. The IRS claims that Isley, the frontman for the Grammy-winning Isley Brothers, deposited his late brother's royalty checks for his own use. A rep for Isley refused to comment.
Former child star Macaulay Culkin, 24, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana and Xanax without a prescription Oct. 13 in Oklahoma City. Culkin was arrested in September after the car in which he was a passenger was pulled over for speeding (People, Oct. 4, 2004). A rep for Culkin would not comment.... Zack Sinclair, 34, was arrested Oct. 11 in L.A. for allegedly violating a September court order to stay away from actor Mel Gibson, 48, and his family (People, Oct. 18, 2004). Police wouldn't divulge what led to the arrest, but said the drifter was charged with felony stalking and is being held on $500,000 bail. Sinclair had previously gone to Gibson's home and written the star numerous letters.
