Contrary to recent rumors, Angelina Jolie hasn't adopted another child yet, but the actress says her 3-year-old son Maddox may soon have a playmate, "Maybe in about six months. Mad's not quite ready," says Jolie, 29, who costars in Alexander. For now she'll become a dual citizen of Cambodia and the U.S. and will enjoy downtime with her son. "He's truly the funniest, best friend I've ever had," says Jolie. "When I came back from Darfur [and the Sudanese refugee camps], I was so angry. And then there's this little person that's really excited about discovering pickles."
Brosnan's Wearisome Whiskers
For Pierce Brosnan, the hardest part about playing an accomplished jewel thief in the caper comedy After the Sunset may have been growing just the right amount of facial hair. "I worked on that beard a lot," jokes Brosnan, 51. "That was a big transformation for me, getting that scruffy look together." He didn't spend much time on his physique, though he shows plenty of skin when he and Salma Hayek, who plays his partner in crime, retire to a Caribbean island. "It could have been better," Brosnan admits. "I didn't work out for this film. I forgot to suck in [my stomach] actually."
Though Craig T. Nelson didn't lift trains to voice Mr. Incredible, a middle-aged superhero in The Incredibles, he got an aerobic workout during his character's fight scenes. "[Director Brad Bird and producer John Walker] make you run around the block to get out of breath," says Nelson, 58. "Then you come in right away and do your scene. [If you screw up] you have to run around the block again. It was torture."
Pee-wee's Auction House
"I'm the hugest pack rat," says Paul Reubens, 52, who over the years kept all the props and set pieces belonging to his alter ego Pee-wee Herman. The comic, who just released his Pee-wee's Playhouse DVD boxed sets, is organizing an upcoming exhibition of his memorabilia. "I'd love for it to tour, like the treasures of the Louvre," says Reubens, who occasionally sees Pee-wee items on eBay. "I equate [my Pee-wee collection] with paintings by the Masters—if an item's not going for millions, it seems underpriced."
Cage Rocks Out
While filming National Treasure, Diane Kruger got to see costar Nicolas Cage's quirks up close. "He's funny, a little eccentric and crazy. One day he spoke in a Scottish accent all day, which drove everybody insane," says the actress, 28. "If you saw him sing karaoke—you need to be there to see it." Kruger gives Cage's renditions of AC/DC and the Sex Pistols a thumbs up. "He's pretty good. He wears orange leopard-skin pants, so that alone stands out." Responds Cage: "I'm more like a barking dog. But I like to blow it all out. Nothing like getting stress out with some Rage Against the Machine."
J'Aime New York
French actress Audrey Tautou, 26, lives in Paris, but the Amélie star relishes the jet-setting demands of her job. "I love traveling, It's one of my passions," she says. "I particularly love New York, the energy, the vibe of it. I like shopping in SoHo and NoHo, everything that is finished by 'Ho.' " Now starring in A Very Long Engagement, Tautou even likes the way New Yorkers mispronounce her surname. "It's kind of cute with the accent. In France, it's 'Tutu.' Here, it's 'Tattoo.' I think it's cuter in English than in French."
