On Feb. 10 actor Bernie Mac, 47, announced that for the past two decades he has suffered from sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in organs such as the lungs or lymph nodes. "It has not altered or limited my lifestyle," Mac said in a statement. The actor receives multiple treatments for the condition.

Keith Knudsen, 56, a drummer for the Doobie Brothers, died Feb.8 in Kentfield, Calif., of pneumonia. Knudsen joined the band in the 1970s and worked on hits like "Takin' It to the Streets" and "It Keeps You Runnin'."
