When Sandra Bullock was offered a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she accepted but made one request: She wanted a say in where her plaque would be located. After all, she couldn't be next to just anyone. Rather, the actress asked for her star to be adjacent to that of her Speed partner, Keanu Reeves. "I needed someone to watch my back," says Bullock, "and he said he'd do it." Bullock and Reeves will reunite later this year to shoot II Mare, a romantic drama.
JEN MAKES HER CHOICE
Bachelorette Jen Schefft, 28, continues to deny a romance with her boss, nightclub owner Billy Dec, 32, even though the two have been spotted together frequently; the pair attended L.A.'s GenArt fashion show March 18, and they were also spotted at a New York Knicks game together. But Dec, whose car is often seen parked near Schefft's Chicago apartment, recently told a pal that the two are dating, saying, "She's a nice girl. We'll see where it goes."
PRINCE GETS HIS WAY
It's good to be Prince. The singer arrived with three women at L.A.'s Shelter nightclub March 24 and was promptly shown to a private VIP room. Later, when the star asked for french fries long after the kitchen had closed, the manager whipped up a batch himself. Then Prince announced he coveted his waitress's 5-in. platform boots, so she took them off and gave them to him. (Fortunately for her, His Purple Majesty deemed the fashionable kicks "too dirty" and returned them.) Finally, after the club closed at 2 a.m., some of the staff hung around just so Prince and his posse could hit the dance floor and boogie until 3:30 a.m. in the near-empty club.
