Singer Taylor Hanson, 22—the middle brother in the pop trio Hanson—and his wife, Natalie, had their second child, daughter Penelope Anne, April 19 in Tulsa. Big brother Ezra is 2.
On April 24, actor Eric Balfour (Six Feet Under), 28, popped the question to his girlfriend, actress Moon Bloodgood, 29. They plan to tie the knot next year.
Elton John, 58, has announced plans for a civil wedding with his longtime partner, David Furnish. The couple will marry after laws recognizing gay partnerships go into effect in Britain.
Comedian George Lopez, 44, recently underwent a successful kidney transplant in L.A. The actor, who received the kidney from his wife of 12 years, Ann, 44, a producer, suffers from a genetic condition that causes kidney deterioration. The couple "are expected to make a full recovery," says his rep.... Comedian Phyllis Diller, 87, underwent surgery on April 23 for fractures in her neck. Diller was hospitalized after she fell out of bed at her Brentwood, Calif., home.
Actor Aidan Quinn (The Exonerated), 46, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle under the influence April 20 in Waterville, Maine. In October 2003, the actor, who was filming the HBO movie Empire Falls in the area, was arrested after police pulled him over for erratic driving. Quinn was ordered to pay a $500 fine and his license was suspended for 90 days. A lawyer for Quinn had no comment.
The Canadian woman who accused comedian Bill Cosby, 67, of drugging and sexually assaulting her in January 2004 (PEOPLE, Feb. 28, 2005), filed a court motion in her civil lawsuit in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The motion maintains that 10 other women are willing to testify about "prior similar sexual assaults and/or drugging incidents." In February prosecutors declined to file criminal charges against the entertainer due to insufficient evidence. The woman is seeking damages on charges of assault, defamation and invasion of privacy.
Actor Benjamin Bratt, 41, and hiswife, Talisa, 38, will welcome a second child this fall. Their daughter Sophia is 2.... Jerry Seinfeld, 51, and his wife, Jessica, 33, are expecting their third child this fall. The couple have a daughter, Sascha, 4, and a son, Julian, 2.
