Brad & Angelina: Another Secret Getaway!
A Week Alter Their Explosive Kenya Trip, the Clandestine Couple Reconnect in Morocco
On April 30 the cast and crew of Babel, the drama starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, gathered for a lavish party in Morocco. They were there to kick off production of their film, and Pitt arrived later that evening. But after he chatted quietly with the crew and had a single drink, he slipped away by 10. "Brad is very discreet," says a Babel source, "but he wanted to make an appearance so the crew would know he was there." Of course, there was another reason for Pitt's brief stay: Angelina Jolie was waiting for him back at his suite.
Yes, just a week after their romantic trip (along with Jolie's son Maddox, 3) to Kenya's luxe Alfajiri Villas, the Couple Now Known as Brangelina had jumped coasts for another hush-hush rendezvous. After concluding humanitarian visits to Ethiopia and South Africa, Pitt flew to London on April 30. He met up with Jolie and the pair took a private jet to Morocco, where a three-vehicle convoy transported them to Pitt's hotel, his home base during Babel's six-week shoot. Their reunion was short-lived, as Jolie left the next morning. While two bodyguards stood watch outside, Pitt stayed in his suite preparing for Babel's May 2 shoot, often strumming his guitar during his down time. "He was nice, but very serious," says a hotel source. "You can tell he is here to work." At least until the next time Mrs. Smith pays him a visit.
