Ice, Ice, Baby
Hockey fan Cuba Gooding Jr. loves chasing the puck with pals like Kiefer Sutherland and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. "I've been in many celebrity tournaments with Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, says Gooding, 35, who stars with Ed Harris in the drama Radio. "You feel like you've got four left feet." Aging has made the actor mindful of other physical limitations. "I've broken my wrist and fractured a bone in my shoulder," he says. "I don't bounce back as quick as I used to. We have so many bags of ice at our house, it's ridiculous."

No Fooling Around
For Mark Ruffalo, filming love scenes means setting boundaries. "I'm happily married [to actress Sunrise Coigney]," says Ruffalo, 35, who has some steamy moments with Meg Ryan in the thriller In the Cut. "You're not [on the set] to mess around. You talk about your kid or how much you love your spouse." With Meg, the actor tried to keep the mood light. "I'd say, 'You to mack on me in three days, Ryan,' " says Ruffalo, who adds that his costar had the tougher job. "It was scary for Meg. The world can be harsher on women's bodies."

Regarding Henry
"I am doing Shakespeare right now with Kevin Kline, who is a great actor. But he won't stop correcting my diction, and it's driving me crazy."
—Ethan Hawke, who stars as Hotspur in the new production of Henry IV at New York's Lincoln Center Theater

Hot Wheels
Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Michelle Trachtenberg raked in the loot when she turned 18 recently. Her mom got her a new black Lexus SUV, as well as "vintage Manolo Blahniks, closed-toe silver pumps introduced in 1985, the year I was born," says Trachtenberg, who stars in the upcoming teen comedy The Ugly Americans. "Then I had a big bowling party at [L.A.'s] Lucky Strike. The day after, I saw Sarah [Michelle Gellar]. She got me fabulous clothes. Then she said, 'Now that you're legal, don't go steal a car because you'll be tried as an adult.' "

Too Far for PR
Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards got a doozy of a wrap present after filming the slasher spoof Scary Movie 3. "Our child was actually conceived during this movie," says Sheen, 38, whose baby is due in March. "We thought we'd have to name the kid Sean Martin the third or Sarah Michelle Three, so the initials would be SM3 [like the movie]. But we decided against it."
