DIDDY? HE DID!
On Nov. 2, rap mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, 34, raised more than $1 million for local children's charities by finishing the New York City Marathon in 4 hours, 14 minutes and 54 seconds. "I've never experienced this amount of pain," said Combs, who trained for nine weeks. "But it was a beautiful experience."

I DO!
Actress Elizabeth Berkley (The Curse of the Jade Scorpion), 31, wed artist Greg Lauren, 33, the nephew of designer Ralph Lauren, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Nov. 1.

ENGAGED
Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti, 68, will wed his long-term girlfriend, Nicoletta Mantovani, 34, on Dec. 13 in Modena. Mantovani gave birth to the couple's daughter Alice in January. Pavarotti has three adult daughters from his former marriage to Adua Veroni.

ARRESTED

Former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, 36, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs Oct. 27 after he crashed his BMW into a parked car in Hollywood. A court commissioner ordered him to live in a locked-down residential rehab center for six months. In August the singer pleaded no contest to felony drug possession charges. A rep for Weiland could not be reached for comment....

Actor Aidan Quinn (Stolen Summer), 44, was charged with drunk driving on Oct. 25 in Waterville, Maine, where police pulled him over for erratic driving. Quinn is in Maine filming the HBO film Empire Falls. A rep for the actor would not comment.

SPLIT
On Oct. 28 in L.A., former dancer Diane Richie, 37, filed for separation from her husband of almost seven years, Grammy-winning singer Lionel Richie, 54.

LEGAL ISSUES
The U.S. Department of Defense has agreed to pay former employee Linda Tripp $595,000 to settle a lawsuit over the release of confidential personal information about her to The New Yorker magazine in 1998. Tripp, 53, whose secret taping of White House intern Monica Lewinsky helped lead to President Clinton's impeachment, sued the government in 1999. "This sets a precedent for deterring high-level officials from doing this," said Michael Kohn, a lawyer for Tripp.

UPDATE
On Oct. 31 in L.A., a judge dismissed the conspiracy charges against Robert Blake but rejected the actor's bid to have murder charges dropped. Blake, 70, is accused of killing his wife, Bonny Bakley, in 2001 (PEOPLE, May 21, 2001).

DEATHS
Italian tenor Franco Corelli, 82, whose booming voice and matinee-idol looks led him to become one of the 20th century's leading opera stars, died on Oct. 29 in Milan of complications from a stroke. Corelli was largely self-taught.
