Actor Dan Cortese, 36, star of UPN's Rock Me Baby, and his wife of nine years, actress Dee Dee Hemby, 35, are expecting their second child, a girl, in March. They have a son Roman, 2.
Country singer Blake Shelton, 27, wed his longtime girlfriend Kaynette Williams, 30, in a private ceremony on Nov. 17 in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. The couple reside in Hickman County, just west of Nashville.
Dancer Maureen Marder, whose life was portrayed in the 1983 hit Flashdance, sued pop star Jennifer Lopez, 34, on Nov. 12 in L.A. for not getting Marder's permission before re-creating scenes from the movie in J.Lo's video "I'm Glad." A rep for Lopez had no comment....
Former Playboy playmates known as the Barbi Twins (Shane and Sia) sued Hustler publisher Larry Flynt, 61, on Nov. 10 in L.A., to prevent him from publishing sexually explicit photos of them taken earlier by Shane's husband, actor Ken Wahl (Wiseguy), 46. The twins say they do not know how Flynt got the photos. "They signed a release for the photos," said Flynt. "They don't have any case at all."
Country singer Wynonna Judd, 39, was charged with drunk driving on Nov. 13 in Nashville after police pulled her over for speeding. Judd, who was released on $500 bond, said in a statement, "I know there is never a situation where drinking and driving is acceptable, and I take full responsibility for my error in judgment."
On Nov. 17 a Virginia Beach jury found John Allen Muhammad, 42, guilty of capital murder for his role in the three-week shooting spree that killed 10 people last fall in the D.C. area (PEOPLE, Nov. 21, 2002). Muhammad will soon be sentenced to life in prison or death by injection. Lee Malvo, 18, is on trial in Chesapeake, Va., on charges that he participated in the killings.
Dorothy Fay Ritter, the star of several B-movie westerns in the '30s and '40s, died of natural causes at an L.A. retirement home on Nov. 5. She was the mother of actor John Ritter, who died suddenly in September at age 54 from a heart problem (PEOPLE, Sept. 29, 2003)....
Broadway actress Dorothy Loudon, 78, best known for her 1977 Tony-Award-winning role as the nasty orphanage owner Miss Hannigan in Annie, died of uterine cancer on Nov. 15 in New York City....
Grand Ole Opry star Don Gibson, 75, who wrote and recorded many hit songs, including "Sweet Dreams" (made famous by Patsy Cline) and "I Can't Stop Loving You" (a hit for Ray Charles), died of natural causes in Nashville on Nov. 17.
