Beyoncé and Jay-Z went to the Bahamas for a wedding—just nottheir own. Instead, the couple were among 25 friends and family members who gathered at the Old Bahama Bay Resort on Feb. 27 for the sunset wedding of Beyoncé's 17-year-old sister Solange. The lucky guy? Daniel Smith, 19, a football player at Texas Southern University in Houston, his and Solange's hometown. The singer-actress (she costars in the film Johnson Family Vacation, due April 7) had a moment of panic when, an hour before the ceremony, the flowers hadn't arrived. Mom Tina, 50, came to the rescue, gathering conch shells for the bridal party to carry. Later, as guests dined on steak and a three-tier wedding cake, bridesmaid Beyoncé, 22, toasted the newlyweds. "She made a joke about her baby sister beating her to the altar," says a waiter. "Her mother patted Jay-Z on the arm, like saying, 'Your time will come soon.' "
