With The O.C.'s debut last summer, Schwartz became TV's youngest-ever one-hour drama creator and producer. "I have no issues pitching to the networks," says Schwartz, who sold his first script at 21. "But a pretty girl at a bar is a whole other thing." Those with hopes of being immortalized on The O.C. need not apply, says co-executive producer Stephanie Savage. "Josh has the class not to kiss and tell."

An avid surfer, The O.C.'s reigning heartthrob gets hundreds of fan letters a month. A personal response isn't likely: Brody has been linked with costar Rachel Bilson since last fall.

CHRIS CARMACK

Although Brody and McKenzie work the party circuit, the very single jazz musician, athlete and former Abercrombie & Fitch model keeps a low profile. "Chris is definitely a homebody, cook dinner, play a little guitar kind of guy," says Melinda Clarke, whose thirtysomething character Julie seduced Carmack's Luke. "But I got him on the floor once—he's also a great dancer."

THE SENSITIVE HUNK

"Girls will come up to me and ask, 'Ben, what's he like?' " says costar Mischa Barton, who denies rumors that they dated. "They all have crushes on him." Who could blame them, says Clarke. "Ben possesses a really mellow sexuality." The self-deprecating McKenzie doesn't get it: "Have you seen me? Hello!"
