DIAMOND GIRL
Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz caused quite a stir when they visited the Magic Kingdom at Orlando's Walt Disney World Aug. 1, but it was the gold band with a solitary stone on the actress's left ring finger that had tongues wagging. While the pair raced cars at Tomorrowland's Indy Speedway, rocketed through Space Mountain (twice) and rode up Splash Mountain, Diaz's ring stood out as the sole piece of jewelry on her left hand. A rep for the actress denies the couple are engaged. Adds another source: "Cameron has always said she has no interest in getting married."
EX'S AND OH'S
They may have ended their romance last month, but Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal really are the best of friends. The duo met up in L.A. on Aug. 2 for lunch at Joan's on Third, where they sat outside looking "very adorable and very together," according to an observer. "Nobody should read into anything," says Dunst's rep Stephen Huvane. "Expect to see them out together, because that's what friends do." For lunch anyway. That night, Dunst picked a female pal to join her at the Argyle Hotel's Fenix, Hollywood's new Monday-night hot spot, for some dancing.
THREE'S COMPANY
Is Solange Knowles, Beyoncé's 18-year-old sis, expecting a baby with her husband, Daniel Smith, a football player at Houston's Texas Southern University? A rep for the singer-actress didn't return calls, but according to the Houston Chronicle, a baby shower was held Aug. 1 for the couple, who wed Feb. 27. Among the 300 guests were the Destiny's Child trio—Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams—and rapper Jay-Z. The event, held at an undisclosed location, was organized by Solange's mom, Tina Knowles, and featured a three-tiered cake shaped like a baby carriage. One thing's for sure: The baby won't lack transportation. His-and-hers Burberry strollers were among the couple's gifts.
FAST TAKES
The project remains very hush-hush, but I hear that Marlon Brando lent his voice to a game based on The Godfather, which is being developed by Electronic Arts, the California-based video-game publisher. He finished the recordings just before he died....
Missy Elliott is teaming up with American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino. "I'm going to do a few songs on her new album," says the hip-hop star. "She's got an incredible voice."
PARTY FAVORS
Lindsay Lohan, who just turned 18, is taking the meaning of her new single "I Decide" to heart and hopes others will too. She'll be selling I Decide hats and T-shirts on her fan site, www.llrocks.com, and is in negotiations with Rock the Vote to participate in its advertising aimed at young voters. (Possibilities include using the Diane Warren-penned song as the campaign's cornerstone.) "This is Lindsay's first year to vote," says her mother, Dina, adding that Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has asked Lohan to help in his Vote or Die campaign. "She's totally excited."
