CLOONEY'S ANGEL?
Are George Clooney and Lucy Liu an item? After the two dined together recently at Manhattan's Downtown Cipriani, it was reported that they were “lip-locking” in a limo outside the swank Italian eatery. A source tells Insider the evening didn't seem to be all that romantic. “They were together but with other people,” says the observer. “I didn't see them kiss [in the restaurant]. They seemed like they were having fun, but they always have fun.” Meanwhile, when asked about the status of their relationship, Clooney's rep Stan Rosenfield offered only sarcasm: “They're going to get married on Pay-Per-View.” Now that I'd pay to see.

MIAMI NICE: SIGLER & DISCALA
Given their hectic social lives, it was bound to happen sooner or later. While leaving Nobu at South Beach's Shore Club Dec. 29, Jamie-Lynn Sigler ran into her ex, A.J. Di Scala, for the first time since they separated last September. “He was walking in,” says a Sigler pal, who joined the actress and friends for dinner. “It ended up being fine. They hugged and spoke for a few minutes, and she was great. Amazing, actually—considering.” Perhaps her poise comes from her new admirers. While partying at an intimate first-of-the-year shindig Sunday night at the Shore Club's Red Room, the Sopranos star caught the eyes of both Leo DiCaprio and his actor pal Lukas Haas (24). “They were clearly checking her out,” says a spy. Also at the party? John Stamos, Mischa Barton, Wilmer Valderrama and Dina Lohan yes, Lindsay's mom, sans Lindsay. Party on, Mom!

NEW YEAR'S AT TEDDY'S
Seems Mary-Kate Olsen made a resolution to keep cutting loose in 2006. She's now the proud owner of a Porsche Cayenne, and at least one partyer noticed that MK, decked out in a sequined tunic-style frock, was spicier than usual on New Year's Eve at Teddy's in L.A. In the private, paparazzi-free A-list hot spot, a smiling Olsen held court in a back-corner booth, chain-smoking while dancing with girlfriends till 2 a.m. Normally staid couple Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Saarsgard also busted out, goofing around to Madonna songs, while Maggie's brother Jake kept company with—drum roll, please—Kirsten Dunst ! The supposedly broken-up pair were in When Harry Met Sally “just friends” mode, chatting and dancing as the night went on. Prince added royalty to the affair, donning gold-sequined boots and a powder-blue suit and bobbing all night to the music especially his own. Not everyone was in a partying mood: Courtney Love was un characteristically mellow at her table by the front door. And at a booth next to Olsen's, Ray Liotta, Jason Bateman and Robert Patrick brooded while their pal Joaquin Phoenix got cozy with an unidentified blonde.
