LEGALISSUES
On Jan. 17 in L.A., Kristel Crews, 40, a former personal assistant to Laurence Fishburne, 44, filed a lawsuit alleging that the Matrix star fired her for becoming pregnant. The actor's rep said he had not read the suit and could not comment.

Mehmet Ali Agca, 48, who shot Pope John Paul II in Rome in 1981, was released from an Istanbul prison Jan. 12 after serving 25 years for that crime and the 1979 murder of a Turkish journalist. The Pope, who died last April at 84, forgave Agca in 1983.
