Pro skateboarder Tony Hawk, 37, and Lhotse Merriam, 33, a lingerie store owner, wed Jan. 12 on the island of Tavarua, Fiji. It's the first marriage for her and the third for Hawk, a father of three.

SPLIT
Citing irreconcilable differences, former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, 53, filed for di vorce from wife Pamela Bach, 43, Jan. 12 in L.A. after 16 years of marriage. His rep said the pair, who have two teen daughters, have already agreed to an “amicable settlement.”

EXPECTING
Foo Fighter Dave Grohl, 37, and his wife, Jordyn Blum, 29, a former TV producer, expect their first baby this spring…. Saved by the Bell alum Mark- Paul Gosselaar, 31, (now on Commander in Chief) and wife Lisa, 34, plan to welcome a girl this spring; son Michael turns 3 on Jan. 31…. Actors Holly Hunter (The Piano), 47, and Gordon MacDonald (The Thin Red Line) became parents with the recent birth of “happy, healthy” twins, says her rep.

RECUPERATING
Former President Gerald Ford, 92, suffering from pneumonia, was admitted to a hospital in Rancho Mirage, Calif., Jan. 14. Says a rep: “He is doing well.”

LEGALISSUES
On Jan. 17 in L.A., Kristel Crews, 40, a former personal assistant to Laurence Fishburne, 44, filed a lawsuit alleging that the Matrix star fired her for becoming pregnant. The actor's rep said he had not read the suit and could not comment.

FREED
Mehmet Ali Agca, 48, who shot Pope John Paul II in Rome in 1981, was released from an Istanbul prison Jan. 12 after serving 25 years for that crime and the 1979 murder of a Turkish journalist. The Pope, who died last April at 84, forgave Agca in 1983.
