Irresponsible is the only word to describe Britney Spears
driving without buckling up her 4-month-old son. She made a mistake and got caught. She's the one who opened up her life and "told all" to the media, now she has to deal with it. You can't just easily shut that door when you are responsible for opening it. And Britney, Princess Diana you are not, so don't compare yourself to her.
Before Britney is declared an unfit mother by the "holier than thou" brigade, it might make sense for those who think her conduct is appalling to take a closer look at their own lives. I would venture a guess that if the rest of the world was watched as closely as Britney is, we would find a lot of our most embarrassing and, yes, inappropriate, behavior documented in magazines for everyone to pick apart. Britney is clearly a strong woman, and I, for one, can't wait to see what her next move will be.
So Britney thinks the pop scene is in a huge lull since her absence? I guess the likes of Gwen Stefani
, Kelly Clarkson
and Beyoncé Knowles are just talentless tarts. If the sole purpose of this interview was damage control, I'm afraid it didn't work.
I can't thank you enough for your cover of my favorite girl, Britney. This interview, the photos, Britney's comments, it was all perfect for a fan who has been waiting a long time. I knew she would be back, and this is just what we've been waiting for. I'm proud of her, and I look forward to the exciting times to come.

MOMS BEHIND BARS
A very special thank you to all the Girl Scout staff and volunteers who are trying to make a difference in the lives of the forgotten victims of a crime—children of incarcerated parents. I had the privilege of working on a similar program, Girl Scouts Beyond Bars, at San Jacinto Girl Scout Council in Houston. This is not an easy program to carry out, but it is so rewarding to all involved.
Reading the article about the Entwistle murder, all I can say is "Why?" How can someone do that to such a beautiful wife and baby? Regardless of the problems he was facing, his family didn't have to pay with their lives. My heart goes out to her family, and I hope justice will be swift.
We stated that Dolly Parton had not been to the Oscars since being nominated for the theme to 1980's 9 to 5. Parton attended the 1984 Oscars as a presenter. In the same issue, we also reported that Capote's director Bennett Miller, screenwriter Dan Futterman and star Philip Seymour Hoffman all met at a theater workshop. Futterman and Miller met in junior high school. The pair later met Hoffman at a theater camp. We regret the errors.
