A Santa Monica, Calif., judge ruled Oct. 2 that O.J. Simpson, 60, must relinquish his Rolex watch and other assets, including any of the disputed memorabilia recently seized by Las Vegas authorities that are found to be legally his, to satisfy part of a $33.5 million civil judgment that found him liable for the 1994 deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.... A Manhattan jury ruled Oct. 2 that New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas, 46, sexually harassed former team executive Anucha Browne Sanders, 44, and that the team's owner, Madison Square Garden, improperly fired her last year. Browne Sanders was awarded $11.6 million in punitive damages, but the jurors could not decide whether Thomas should pay Browne Sanders, resulting in a mistrial on that matter. "I will appeal this," the former NBA player told reporters.
Country star Keith Urban (inset), 39, escaped injury after getting into a motorcycle accident in Sydney Oct. 1. The singer, who is married to actress Nicole Kidman, said in a statement that he was en route to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting while being followed by a photographer, adding, "I sped up, and in an effort to elude an oncoming car, which was making an illegal U-turn, saw no choice but to drop my bike. My pursuer came to my assistance, without taking photos, and helped me from the road."
