Crime Pays! In An Exclusive Look at Her First Movie Since Marrying Tom, Katie Holmes Pulls Off a Heist with Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton
She's a happily married mom and a movie star. But the fact that Katie Holmes can eat dessert like there's no tomorrow just isn't fair. "That's the injustice—she can eat all that and be really skinny!" says director Callie Khouri, who worked with Holmes, Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton on their new comedy Mad Money, about three female bank robbers. While on location in Shreveport, La., last summer, Holmes "brought us cupcakes, pizza and frozen yogurt," says Khouri. That fueled female bonding on the set of the film, which is due out in January. While Holmes worked, daughter Suri, 17 months, was often babysat by her father, Tom Cruise. The three stars "really looked forward to doing scenes together," says the filmmaker. The only downside? The humidity wasn't exactly easy on their dos. "It's amazing how long it takes to get three women's hair right," jokes Khouri. "Next time I'm working with bald men."
