The suit, filed Sept. 17 in L.A., claims the singer-actress owes him $150,000 in legal fees and alleges she agreed to pay him 5 percent of her earnings since October 2005 in exchange for legal services. Hudgens's rep had no comment.... "Charlie has significant personal issues which he has failed to address," said Richards's lawyer. Sheen, 42, responded, "[Richards] behaves as though she owns our children." ... The piece was based on documents that could not be authenticated. In 2005, Rather was replaced after 24 years on CBS Evening News. A CBS spokesman said the suit "is without merit." ... Wrestling champ Hulk Hogan's son Nick Bollea (inset), 17, pleaded no contest in Clearwater, Fla., Sept. 24 to speeding in a construction zone. Police said the teen was driving almost double the speed limit when he was stopped Aug. 10. Bollea, a professional race car driver who also appears on VH1's Hogan Knows Best, received more than $1,000 in fines and was ordered to complete a driver improvement course. The traffic violation came two weeks before Bollea crashed his Toyota Supra, injuring passenger and friend John Graziano, 22, who remains in critical condition. That case is still under investigation.

Floyd Landis, 31, lost his 2006 Tour de France championship Sept. 20 after his defeat in an arbitration case over a positive drug test result. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) had his title revoked after a test taken during the race showed a synthetic testosterone used to boost performance. The decision bans Landis, who denies taking the hormone and called the ruling "nonsensical" in a statement, from professional cycling until Jan. 30, 2009.
A FOND FAREWELL
Alice Ghostley, 84, who played such endearingly scatterbrained TV characters as Esmeralda on Bewitched and Bernice on Designing Women, died at her home in Studio City, Calif., Sept. 21 following a long battle with colon cancer. "She was utterly authentic and completely original," former Designing costar Annie Potts tells PEOPLE. "Nobody looked like her, sounded like her or delivered a joke like her. You only had to bring her in and everything got funnier. She came to our show as a guest, but ended up staying the entire seven years." Also an accomplished dramatic actress, Ghostley won a Tony Award in 1965 for her performance in The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window.
