Singer Usher, 29, and his wife of four months, stylist Tameka Raymond, 36, ushered in Baby No. 1, son Usher Raymond V, in Atlanta Nov. 26. "We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son," the Grammy winner said. "What a blessing!" Usher was at the hospital with his wife and child, says a source, who adds that the family was expected to head home two days after the delivery. The new parents had a decked-out nursery waiting for the baby.
Zac Hanson, 22, the youngest member of the pop trio Hanson, and wife Kate, 24, will become first-time parents next May. The drummer-singer, who has three nephews and a niece courtesy of his bandmate brothers, says, "It will be really fun to see five little ones grow up together. I know watching them is going to inspire a lot of music." ... Actress Angela Kinsey, 36, of NBC's The Office, is pregnant with her first child with husband Warren Lieberstein, a TV writer.
Mary Delgado, 40, a 2004 winner of ABC's The Bachelor, was arrested in Seminole, Fla., Nov. 21 after being accused of punching fisherman Byron Velvick, 43, the bachelor who chose her on the show. The police report, which does not name Velvick, says Delgado and the alleged victim have lived together for the past three years.... Former head of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and polygamous-sect leader Warren Jeffs, 52, was sentenced in St. George, Utah, Nov. 20 to 10 years to life in prison for his role in the arranged marriage of a 14-year-old follower to her 19-year-old cousin in 2001. A parole board will decide how much time Jeffs, who also faces similar charges in Arizona, will serve.
Britney Spears (inset), 26, and her ex-husband Kevin Federline, 29, who currently has physical custody of their children, have agreed to share time with sons Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, over Christmas. Their lawyers arranged a holiday visitation schedule during a hearing in L.A. Nov. 26. "There was a proposal by Kevin that the holidays be shared," says Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan. "That's the best for everyone involved." Spears took the boys out for a Thanksgiving brunch of mini peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches on Winnie-the-Pooh plates at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills. "The boys were very well-behaved," a waitress says. "Britney was in a great mood and seemed to have fun with her boys."
Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor, 24, died at a Miami hospital Nov. 27, one day after he was shot in the leg at his Palmetto Bay, Fla., home by an alleged intruder, causing massive blood loss. No arrests have been made.... The body of Kevin DuBrow, 52, lead singer of the metal band Quiet Riot (1983's "Cum On Feel the Noize"), was found in his Las Vegas home Nov. 25. The cause of death has yet to be determined, pending an autopsy and toxicology results.... Dr. Robert Cade, 80, who helped create the popular hydrating drink Gatorade in 1965, died of kidney failure in Jacksonville, Fla., Nov. 27. Credited with sparking a now multibillion-dollar-a-year sports drink market, the beverage was originally designed to help the University of Florida's Gators football players replace carbohydrates and electrolytes lost during games in intense heat.
