BELVEDERE NEW YEAR'S BASH
sparkled at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach Dec. 31, where she and more than 2,000 partygoers counted down to midnight. Also on hand: Gossip Girl's
CHACE CRAWFORD, who watched as The Hills'
BRODY JENNER and FRANKIE DELGADO welcomed 2008 by doing back flips into the pool.
THE SHORE CLUB
planted a big kiss on boyfriend PETE WENTZ (the Fall Out Boy bassist manned the DJ booth) at the Miami fete as the clock struck 12. "They're clearly madly in love with each other," says an observer. "They're always hugging and holding hands and everything." The couple partied alongside guests like SOPHIA BUSH, ADRIAN GRENIER and EVE, who performed several songs for a boisterous crowd. "It was wild," says a source. "I've never seen anything like it."
PRIVE LAS VEGAS
It was a happy ending to 2007 for AVRIL LAVIGNE
, who celebrated with husband DERYCK WHIBLEY and 10 pals at the Vegas hot spot. In between hanging out with rapper LIL JON and cuddling up with Whibley, Lavigne party hopped, jumping from table to table as she sprayed fellow revelers with champagne. "She was very playful," says an observer. "She made drinks for everybody." Before the festivities ended, the singer had already decided on her resolution for 2008. "This year," said Lavigne, who donned a paper tiara, "I'm going to embrace more of my girly side."
Attention Dallas Cowboy fans: JESSICA SIMPSON
was nowhere near boyfriend Tony Romo as he and the Cowboys lost to the Washington Redskins Dec. 30. Simpson watched the game at the Capitol Pub in Dallas, where, despite the loss, says an observer, "she had a good time."
JAY-Z and Beyoncé Knowles
had double the fun at 40/40, the rapper's new club in Las Vegas. The couple attended the Dec. 30 opening of the hot spot, then rang in the New Year there the next night.
Of course KID ROCK knows how to rock the New Year. After an appearance in Times Square Dec. 31, he held court at the Svedka vodka party at the Hotel Gansevoort until 3:45 in the morning.
