JENNIFER SIGNS OFF
Jennifer Aniston is a beautiful, independent woman. Sure, money and fame have a price. She's divorcing Brad Pitt for a reason. Not everything is as it seems.
Rosanne Contreras
St. Paul, Minn.

Jennifer Aniston did the right thing. It seems Brad Pitt's career is more important to him than his wife's feelings.
Donna Jones
Manchester, Tenn.

Your cover story was a sad one. Jennifer was in a marriage for the long haul, and for Brad I guess it was a Pitt stop!
Ann Nye
Amarillo, Texas

Is it that Brad wants to start a family and Jennifer is more interested in a career? She's 36, very immature and no raving beauty. I can't see her following in the footsteps of some of our greatest leading ladies.
Evelyn Modrzewski
Tucson, Ariz.

Jennifer is selfish and self-centered. She signed up to do more movies knowing how bad Brad wanted a baby. After all, he's 41.
Joanne L. Watson

I wonder if Jennifer and Brad wished they worked on their marriage vows? They still have time and I hope they find the answer before signing all the papers.

SEAL SHUT
Thank you for bringing Canada's annual sea hunt to the public's attention in your article on activist Rebecca Ald-worth. With a boycott of Canadian seafood, we can send an effective message against this government-regulated mass murder of baby seals.
Poornima Dasgupta
Scarsdale, N.Y.

Shame on you, Rebecca, for "apologizing for ever having been from Newfoundland." The seal hunt has played a vital role in our economy and culture. I feel like apologizing for you ever having been from Newfoundland. Your ignorance is embarrassing.

AUTISTIC SPEAK-OUT
Your article "Autism: Breaking the Silence" was informative, and it's inspiring to know that the facilitated communication technique will help my three children who have autism. Finally they'll be able to have a voice in this world.
Yolanda Williams
Savannah, Ga.

While I appreciate your desire to publish controversial topics, I was very disappointed with your article on facilitated communication. You never mentioned the well-controlled double-blind research projects that failed to support FC as a viable intervention. Nor did you mention the children with autism who lost one or two years of education because the facilitative communication resulted in inadequate educational placements. I understand there are some who believe in the wonder of FC, but you did a great disservice to the community by not presenting the actual controversy.

MADONNA'S BLASPHEMY
Why is Catholic bashing still tolerated? Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie's inappropriate costumes as a nun and the Pope at a Purim party were offensive. Madonna needs to remember her roots and apologize.
Grace Hackett
Seaford, N.Y.

MISGUIDED MORMON
I'm upset with your story on Martha Beck, who wrote a book about why she left the Mormon Church. Most people think Mormons are freaks and horn-headed polygamists. Articles like this add fuel to that flame. It's sad Beck wrote about lies and not truths.

JUDGING AMY
As a child, I watched John Ritter on Three's Company and loved his humor. It's great to see that his widow Amy Yasbeck can stay so strong for their children. She's as wonderful and talented as he was.

O'NEAL'S HOT HEIR
Ryan O'Neal says, "It's awkward being Farrah Fawcett's son. Can you imagine?" What a pathetic statement. Does this man realize Redmond is their child? I pray Redmond gets clean and sober and realizes his father's a loser.
