Jessica Alba: It's a Girl!

A few months before giving birth, Jessica Alba had already decided what to bring to the hospital. "I'm packing shea butter, scented candles and meditation music," Alba, 27, told PEOPLE. And the dad-to-be, producer Cash Warren, 31? "I can guarantee you her stuff will be overflowing, so I'll be carrying her bag." Less than 48 hours after checking into L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on June 7, the two left toting more precious cargo: their newborn daughter Honor Marie. They picked out the name months ago. Says Alba's rep: "Everyone is happy and healthy."

Honor Marie isn't the only thing that's happened to the couple during the last nine months: They also got engaged, bought a house and got married on May 19 at the Beverly Hills courthouse. (And her new movie The Love Guru opens June 20.) But their daughter is the main event. Alba "has a strong sense of what comprises a great family," says her Love Guru costar Romany Malco. That means Easter-egg hunts and tooth-fairy rewards (her favorite childhood traditions). As for discipline? "Cash is going to be the softie," says Malco. "Jessica's cracking all the whips."
