She may have said no to a Rose Garden ceremony, but Jenna Hager (née Bush) still got to have her White House bash. On June 21 Jenna and her new husband, Henry, hosted more than 500 guests—including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell—at a reception to celebrate their marriage, which took place May 10 in Crawford, Texas. As partygoers nibbled on hors d'oeuvres and vanilla and chocolate cake, Henry, Jenna, twin sister Barbara, President Bush and wife Laura danced to "oldies but goodies" played by the United States Marine Band, says a guest. "The President was upbeat—very happy and enjoying himself. It was lively and a lot of fun." When those festivities ended, Jenna, 26—who has applied to teach sixth grade at a public boarding school near the 19th-century Baltimore row house she shares with Henry, 30, who works at Constellation Energy Group—then invited about 100 friends to the Pennsylvania Avenue club the Rookery. The twins got onstage to sing AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" before the party broke up a little after 1 a.m., says club owner Bo Blair. "They were good singers," he adds. "Everybody had a great time."
