Lance & Kate
FAMILY BONDING!

KATE HUDSON, 29, and LANCE ARMSTRONG, 36, had a tour de family weekend, visiting Brooklyn's Frankies Spuntino for a Father's Day brunch with a surprising entourage: his son Luke, 8, and twin daughters Isabelle and Grace, 6, Hudson's son Ryder, 4, her ex-husband Chris Robinson, and his female companion. Two days earlier, Hudson was in Toronto, while Armstrong took part in a "Ride with Lance" event in nearby Waterloo. Though they had the kids in tow, the couple of one month had time for PDA in the lobby of their Toronto hotel, where a source says they "hugged—it was sweet."

Jen & John
ESCAPE FROM L.A.!

It was a big week for Jennifer Aniston, 39, and John Mayer, 30, who took their romance public by posing for pix at a charity dinner at L.A.'s STK for OmniPeace.com (the event was hosted by the humanitarian group's founder Mary Fanaro and sponsored by Kitson). But then the supercouple went back into hiding, escaping to Girls Gone Wild mogul Joe Francis's estate in Punta Mita, Mexico. At the compound, a source says Aniston "spent time laying out on the patio. And John was making sure she was comfortable."

Audrina & Lauren
FRIENDS AGAIN

The rift between The Hills' Lauren Conrad, 22, and Audrina Patridge, 23, is over—for now. At Kira Plastinina's U.S. launch party in L.A. June 14, Patridge said the duo have a plan to repair their friendship: "We're just trying to set a night a week to go out. We're trying. We'll see what happens."

Katherine Heigl
DRAMA QUEEN?

After winning last year, the Grey's Anatomy star withheld her name from this Emmy race, telling LATimes .com, "I did not feel I was given the material." But a source says Heigl's movie career could be the real culprit, noting she was given a lighter schedule while she filmed The Ugly Truth.

Sarah Larson
FROM GEORGE'S GIRL TO IT GIRL!

Since splitting from George Clooney, 47, last month, Sarah Larson, 29, is gamely turning her ex-girlfriend status into a new career, sauntering down red carpets (on May 31 at Las Vegas' Palms Place and on June 14 at the Lexus Style Villa in San Diego) and even snagging an endorsement deal from designer Christian Audigier. Not surprisingly, Larson says, "I'm doing very well!"

JOEL LOSING HIS BABY WEIGHT

Five months after Nicole Richie, 26, gave birth to their daughter Harlow, Joel Madden is still working off his own baby bump. "I gained weight when Nicole was pregnant," the Good Charlotte vocalist, 29, tells Scoop. "I was eating whatever she ate: pasta, pizza." Ten pounds lighter thanks to working out and eating balanced meals, Madden says he's still "a few pounds away from being back in shape." Richie, who already looks svelte post-baby, loves him fit or flabby: "She doesn't care how I look as long as I'm happy."

Father's Day with ...
KEVIN & BRIT

While Kevin Federline was being awarded "Father of the Year" (even he said he was "surprised") during a bash at Privé inside Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Britney Spears was just a few casinos down the strip at Palms Casino Resort celebrating Father's Day with her dad, Jamie. Federline sipped water (he switched to Jack Daniel's at 3 a.m., when he was given his award—in the club's kitchen!) June 13 with an entourage of 25 that included his divorce lawyer. Spears enjoyed a more mellow evening of dinner at Palm Nove Italiano and a visit to the white tigers at Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden. "Britney seemed really relaxed," says an onlooker. "She looked pretty good."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
MARY-KATE & ASHLEY

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen flew to Nashville for their 22nd b-day. On June 12 they hit the Wheel (one of the few bars that allows smoking), listening to a band and drinking Red Bull and Patrón. The next night, the two held a dinner party at the Hermitage Hotel with 11 pals—including Josh Groban. On the 14th the girls saw Pearl Jam, dancing for three hours at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Earlier, their bodyguard bought two $118 guitars (left) to have autographed by Eddie Vedder as a birthday present!

STEVE CARELL
The Get Smart star dishes about his action-hero bod, the dangers of tickle fights with his kids—and his onscreen kiss with a former pro wrestler

In Get Smart, you kiss Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. Agent 23. Is he a good kisser?
Dwayne has incredibly thick lips. My lips pale in comparison. I had to do lip-ups. I had to try to get my lips into the best shape of their life.

You also lock lips with Anne Hathaway in the film. Is your wife, Nancy, starting to get jealous?
No, she thinks it's hilarious. We both do. Some days we sit on the couch shaking our heads over how I ever became someone who kisses a woman in a movie.

So after 13 years of marriage, you and Nancy are still smitten with each other?
We love and respect [each other] and try to make each other laugh. I enjoy her company above anybody else's.

Plus, you've got a new worked-out bod. How did you get in shape for the film?
I did four sit-ups and three arm curls.

Between takes?
No, no. That was over the four months leading up to the filming!

Did you get hurt doing any of the stunts?
Frankly I am much, much more battered and bruised by my children [Elisabeth, 7, and John, 4]. I can come away from our nightly tickle-time session bloodied and bruised. But it just toughens me up for my job as an action hero.
