Vice-Presidential Hopeful Sarah Palin Is Causing a Fashion Frenzy Among Women Who Want to Steal Her Style

Move over, Charlize. There's a new trendsetter in town, and she's causing a run on rimless glasses, peep-toe pumps and requests for sexy secretary-like updos across the country. Sarah Palin's accessible style is moving product in a way not seen since, well, a certain black-and-white dress sold out earlier this year. But don't call her a Beltway Carrie Bradshaw: Palin would rather "play down her looks," says her hairstylist, "because she wants people to hear what she has to say."

THE GLASSES
The demand for Kazuo Kawasaki frames (starting at $375) has been "overwhelming" and "mostly from the middle states," according to the line's manufacturer.

THE CLOTHES
She favors separates rather than monochromatic suits; she is reportedly an Escada fan.

THE SHOES
She likes affordable lines such as Franco Sarto and Naughty Monkey.
