Leann & Dean's Seven-Year-Itch Party!

Country Singer Leann Rimes and Her Husband, Dean Sheremet, Celebrate Their Seventh Anniversary with a Big Bash. Next Up: Trying for a Baby

To celebrate their upcoming seventh wedding anniversary, country singer LeAnn Rimes and her husband, Dean Sheremet, invited 30 friends, booked a resort for Labor Day weekend and called it a "seven-year-itch" party. "Everybody has such a negative connotation with 'seven-year-itch,'" says Rimes, who also marked her 26th birthday on Aug. 28. "We wanted to remember how excited we still are about each other."

The festivities at the Calistoga Ranch in Napa Valley, Calif., culminated with—what else?—a seven-course feast on Aug. 30 held in the ranch's wine cave. The next day the group gathered to watch the couple's wedding video from Feb. 23, 2002, when Rimes was a 19-year-old bride. "We look back and go, 'Were we crazy or what? We were kids!'" says Sheremet, 27. "But it was definitely the right decision." Adds Rimes: "Every odd in the world was stacked against us. But we've grown together instead of apart."

Naturally, the baby question was a hot party topic. "We talk about it all the time," says Rimes, calling the bash "one last hurrah with our friends." Pal Keith Urban, a new dad himself, also has been weighing in. "He's like, 'When are you gonna start?'" says Rimes. "We're ready, definitely."
