The couple, who wed in September 2007, have daughter Ruby, 2. • Singer Usher, 30, and wife-of-one-year, stylist Tameka, 37, are awaiting Baby No. 2. "One of the best Christmas gifts there is to have!" Usher told Access Hollywood Nov. 20. The new arrival will join big brother Usher Raymond V, 1.

UPDATE
The eight-year marriage of Madonna, 50, and British director Guy Ritchie, 40, is officially over—almost. On Nov. 21 the singer and her soon-to-be ex were granted a preliminary decree known in London as a "quickie divorce." The divorce will be finalized six weeks and one day after the proceeding, barring any further disputes.

The Hills stars Heidi Montag, 22, and Spencer Pratt, 25, reportedly exchanged vows during a small ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Nov. 20.

LEGAL MATTERS
Jennifer Garner (inset), 36, has been granted a restraining order against Steven Burky, 36, whom she has accused of stalking and harassing her since 2002 and leaving letters at her Los Angeles home prophesying about her death. "Also I am currently pregnant and fear for the safety of my second child once born," said the actress. Burky cannot come within 100 yards of the actress, her husband, Ben Affleck, also 36, or their daughter Violet, 3.

MONEY MATTERS
Kathy Cox, 44—who won $1 million on FOX's Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and shocked many by donating it all to schools for blind and deaf children—made another surprising move Nov. 17: She filed for bankruptcy. Cox, who is Georgia Schools Superintendant, and husband John, 44, who owns a homebuilding business, said they have been hit "especially hard" by a struggling market. Cox's spokeswoman said she has set up a "gift foundation" to honor her headline-making pledge.

DEATHS
Billy Crystal's beloved horse Beechnut, 27, who appeared in the actor's 1991 film City Slickers, died Nov. 16. "Beechnut was, in a way, one of my best friends," Crystal says of the equine pal he rode onstage while hosting the 1991 Oscars. "He was incredibly human in his instincts."
