My wife, Denise, is a good, strong woman. We've survived a roller coaster, and we're in good shape. I'm very thankful for that. And my three daughters—they're all healthy, beautiful, intelligent, talented and have sweet personalities.
2. MY FANS
I've been playing over 20 years. I've sold 50 million records, played everywhere and just had the best fans.
3. MY EAR FOR MUSIC
I don't really have any formal training, but I've always heard the melodies well. I can be sitting in a car and all of a sudden this melody will come in from nowhere and that will form into a song. It still amazes me where it comes from.
4. MY COUNTRY
I'm a patriotic man. I've traveled to a lot of places, and I don't think some people realize how good we have it in this country. It's got its problems, but it's still the best place to be.
5. MY TEETH
We laugh all the time—when Denise and I were younger and didn't have the money, there was a span of 10 years where I never went to the dentist. When I finally did, I still didn't have cavities. It's a stupid thing, but I guess I really got blessed with good teeth.
