A peek inside Heidi Newfield's wardrobe reveals everything from camouflage capris to a lime green Versace dress. "I wore it to the ACM Awards," she says of the latter. "It showed some skin, but it was still elegant." The 38-year-old former Trick Pony lead singer has come a long way from her days as a cowgirl on a horse ranch in Healdsburg, Calif. "I was on a horse my whole life growing up, so I was always in a hat and Wranglers," she says. "But I was still reading Vogue." Now Newfield, who has a hit with her debut solo single, "Johnny and June," likes flaunting her style. "I love being on the red carpet in designer duds," she says, "but whatever flatters your body doesn't have to cost a fortune. I still shop at the Gap." And she adds, "I'm an accessory nut. Onstage you'll see me rocking a scarf, and then I'll take it off and wrap it around my mike stand."
