"What an uplifting story! To see Capt. Sullenberger holding that beautiful child brought tears to my eyes"

Your story about the "Miracle on the Hudson" was certainly one of your all-time best. The heroic actions of everyone involved touched the lives of people everywhere. I think perhaps a little part of us all landed in the river that day.

I am so happy you put Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger III on your cover. As a longtime subscriber I found it very refreshing to read such a moving and positive story. The tremendous skill of this incredible pilot made him a hero on Jan. 15, but his grace and humility after being thrust into the media spotlight are what make him a true class act.

Thank you for the great story about Capt. Sullenberger and Flight 1549. What I like most about your magazine are the articles about real people, and you couldn't find a better example of what's good about people than this.

The story about the "Miracle on the Hudson" was terrific, and I'm going to frame the beautiful cover photo of Capt. Chesley Sullenberger III with the youngest survivor of the crash. Shortly after the incident, President Obama said, "If everybody did their job as well as that pilot did his, we'd be in pretty good shape." I couldn't agree more.

Forget about your "Sexiest Man Alive" issue. Your cover photo of Capt. Sullenberger and little Damian Sosa was the first time I've had the urge to hug your magazine. And hug it tight I did.

NADYA SULEMAN
As the mother of a beautiful boy born prematurely, my heart breaks for those octuplets. Preemies always need so much more than the regular doctor visits full-term newborns require. Our son has thrived and stayed healthy because of the extra care and attention he receives. Nadya Suleman doesn't realize what's in store for her when all eight of the babies are home. Her whole family will suffer because of a selfish mother and an irresponsible doctor.

RIHANNA
Only a defense attorney or a naive person would say that prosecutors back off when a couple are trying to "work out their own issues." Domestic violence is not an issue, it's a form of violence and control over another person. It seems apparent that Rihanna was a victim of this pervasive crime. Perhaps her fame will result in a new awareness about the terrible problem of domestic violence.

THE GRAMMYS
I was thrilled by the great photo of Clive Davis with all those talented recording stars. I am a huge Barry Manilow fan, and it was a wonderful surprise to see him in that amazing picture with so many fabulous musicians. Bravo!

CASEY ANTHONY SUED
When Casey Anthony was arrested for the disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, she claimed that a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez had kidnapped the toddler. Police found no evidence that the babysitter exists, but a woman with that same name has filed a defamation lawsuit against Anthony. Zenaida Gonzalez, a hotel maid, claims that the publicity around the case caused her to lose her job and has prevented her from finding new employment. "Her reputation has been damaged by Casey Anthony's lies," says her attorney John Morgan. "She has gone through hell." After Caylee's remains were found near the Anthony family home in December, Gonzalez says she received harassing phone calls. Gonzalez, who says she has never met the Anthonys, plans to change her name.
